WHY DO THIS???
To understand why I am so passionate about running a ministry specifically for girls, allow me to share with you my own story.
My name is Bonnie, but children like calling me uncle BOB or BOBI. I lost my parents at the age of ten, my father in 2000 and later on my mum in 2001, both to HIV/AIDS related infections. I was still young and alittle naive, but I was bright both in school and to matters concerning life in general.
Being such a juvenile creature, I had my dreams that one day I'm gonna grow up to be someone successful and useful in the society. However, the death of my parents was to become the greatest game changer both for me and my younger brothers. Frankly it seemed like a case of lost hope. Little did I know that God had a plan for my future already planned out.

The three of us were lucky to find a place to call home in an orphanage home. That is the place where my dreams were resurrected to life, and clear reason to keep fighting and never give up or in to anything in this life. Through the benevolent spirit of good people, a dedicated family in Western Kenya and another incredibly amazing family back in California in the United states, I was able to overcome so much in this life. But the best of the best gifts they ever given me was an EDUCATION. They took me through one of the best schools in this country(MUSINGU school) and I owe all my academic merits to the hardwork and dedication that was evident among the leadership of that school.
There is still so much I would have liked to share with you, but because of time and relevance, I wish to cut it there and wouldn't mind sharing the whole of it with you next time.
Kindly join me next time for a comprehensive coverage on who we are, THE BOBI & JACKIE GIRLCHILD MINISTRY, WHAT WE DO, WHAT OUR PLANS ARE AND MOST IMPORTANTLY HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED IN our mission to empower young girls through EDUCATION AND CAPACITY BUILDING.
Thanks and love you good people.
Hello people, welcome to our blog. We look forward to interacting with you on a near day to day or weekly basis. Ours is a story of passion, mission and determination in a tight race to save our girls starting here in Kenya then Africa then around the world. I am so humbled to invite you to take this walk and empower our women for the greater good of the world we live in. My wife and I have a story that we would like to share with you and the whole world. Life for us hasn't been a bed of roses, but through faith and hardwork we still believe that we are on the right course to realizing our purpose in this life.  An earl will call it, "a journey of self discovery."

I personally believe that women are incredible leaders both for today and tomorrow. But for them to outdo what we, the so called men have appeared to be doing, we need to empower our girls through proper education and the right mentorship. I have a son, and we both are miserable without our only woman, my wife that is. I know that is true to so many men out there, but truth be told, we men can't admit that, infact we may never admit to that reality. Rather we prefer to make rounds and rounds beating our chests, though deeply consumed from the inside.

I believe in women leadership as successful tool in dealing with our modern day problems. However as a disclaimer, that is hardly insinuating or implying that we down-look on ourselves as men, but rather as a  collective effort in making our world a better place for all of us, or simply call it a collective bargain.
So honored to make you my guest then later a friend or just an acquaintance. Please open your heart to our story and share with us in this great journey of success. God bless and Welcome
